Strength

Do you consider yourself a strong person? Maybe you don't think you are strong, but other people see a strength in you that you don't see in yourself. What is the source of the strength that keeps you going day in and day out?

The Lord Himself gives us strength. Psalm 29:11 says, "The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace." Not only does He give us strength to make it thru life's challenges, He also gives us peace.

The Lord strengthens us when we are sick in body. "The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness." Psalm 41:3. Healing comes from the Lord. Sometimes healing can be a painfully slow process. As God is healing, He gives us strength to endure the process.

Psalm 31:24 says, "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Even if you are facing a situation that looks impossible or a disease that seems incurable, God will strengthen your heart. He can give you courage to face even the biggest giants known to mankind. Keep your hope in the Lord, and He will strengthen you!

When trouble comes, God doesn't walk out on us or tell us to handle it on our own. He is the one who helps us thru difficult times. Psalm 37:39 states, "But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble." God never leaves us; He is our help.

Perhaps the most quoted Bible verse about strength is found in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." The word ALL does not leave anything out. God empowers us to do all things!

Next time you feel weak, please remember these Bible verses. They will remind you that the ultimate source of your strength is God, and He is more than enough!
