Is Anything Too Hard for God?

Sometimes in life, it seems that everything goes wrong. When the job is lost, bills are due, health is gone, and we feel that nothing is changing, we question why. These things are too hard for us to handle or change. But is anything too hard for God?
That very question was asked in the Bible by the Lord Himself. He came down and told Abraham that his wife Sarah was going to have a son. In Genesis 18:10-14 we read, "And He said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind Him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore, Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the Lord said unto Abraham, wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son." God proved that nothing was too hard for Him because Sarah did, in fact, have a son named Isaac.
We directly find the answer to this question in Jeremiah 32:17. It says, "Ah Lord God! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee." That settles it! If God made the entire heaven and earth, He can surely handle your problems!
The question was also answered when the virgin Mary was questioning the news that the angel Gabriel had brought her in Luke 1:34-37, "Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible." God does not have the same constraints that we do. He can do things beyond our capabilities!
Jesus assured His disciples in Matthew 19: 24-26 that what man cannot do, God can do. Jesus said, "And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." That word "all" did not leave anything out! God is omnipotent.
Jesus also told the disciples that nothing would be impossible to them if they had faith. In Matthew 17:20 we read, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Mark 9:23 repeats this same concept by saying, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." What a powerful thing that faith is! In fact, we cannot even please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6 states, "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him." Keep your faith in God and His Word.
I know that God can do things that are impossible with man. My own son had seizures from the age of 2 years old. His neurologist told me that it was unlikely that he would grow out of these seizures. It was a hard time to walk through. He had these spells for 2 years. But God brought about my son's complete healing! I have also recently heard testimonies of God healing cancer and diabetes. God is mightier than any disease!
If you are tired of being chained down by your circumstances, just continue to have faith in God's promises! After all, nothing is too hard for Him to handle!
