I Can Do All Things Through Christ

Do you have a very long "to do" list? Do you feel pressure to get everything done today before tomorrow's tasks descend upon you? Is there ever really enough time in a day to get everything done on your list? Every week at work, I make my own "to do" list. It is a great tool to help me stay organized and make sure I do not forget what I need to get done. My job can easily become overwhelming and stressful. There have been some very hard days. I'm sure you have experienced similar feelings. Sometimes the expectations are more than you feel you can live up to. Where do you turn when you feel like you can't do it all?

God has strength to give you.  1 Chronicles 16:27 reads, "Glory and honour are in His presence; strength and gladness are in His place." 1 Chronicles 29:12 says, “Both riches and honour come of Thee, and Thou reignest over all; and in Thine hand is power and might; and in Thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.”

The book of Psalms has many great verses about the Lord being a source of strength for His people. Psalm 18:2 says, “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 27:1 asserts, “ The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 28:7 reads, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.”

Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Notice Paul did not say, "I can do some things." NO. He said, "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me." That word "ALL" does not leave anything out. God will equip you with the strength you need to carry out His will for your life.

If you need strength, just ask God to help you. Psalm 105:4 says, “Seek the Lord, and His strength: seek His face evermore.” Psalm 29:11 declares, “The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.” Psalm 28:8 reads, “The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.” Psalm 37:39 assures, “But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble.” 2 Samuel 22:33 declares, “God is my strength and power: And He maketh my way perfect.”

The joy of the Lord can also strengthen you. Nehemiah 8:10 reads, “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Let the Lord strengthen you the next minute, the next hour, the next day, the next month, the next year, and always!
