With You Always

There are times in life when the road ahead seems uncertain, when the burdens we carry feel too heavy, and when the circumstances surrounding us leave us wondering how we will make it through another day. We face seasons of heartache, disappointment, sickness, financial struggles, loneliness, and unexpected changes. Sometimes, even when we are surrounded by people, we can feel all alone.

But as children of God, we have a wonderful promise to hold on to: We are never alone. God is always with us.

No matter what we face, no matter how difficult the journey becomes, and no matter how dark the valley may seem, the presence of God remains constant. Our circumstances may change, people may come and go, and life may not always unfold the way we planned, but God never changes. His love is everlasting, His promises are true, and His presence is continually with His children.

God Has Promised to Be With You

One of the most comforting promises in Scripture is found in Isaiah 41:10 (KJV):

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness."

What a beautiful promise!

Notice that God does not tell us that we will never experience difficult circumstances. Instead, He reminds us that when those circumstances come, He will be right there with us.

When fear tries to take hold of your heart, remember that God is with you. When you feel weak and unable to take another step, remember that He has promised to strengthen you. When you don't know where to turn or what to do next, remember that He has promised to help you.

You do not have to face tomorrow in your own strength. You do not have to carry every burden by yourself. The same God who created the heavens and the earth is able to sustain you, strengthen you, and see you through whatever lies ahead.

His Presence Never Fails

Sometimes we mistakenly believe that when life becomes difficult, God must be distant. We may wonder why He has allowed certain things to happen or why our prayers have not yet been answered.

But we must never measure God's presence by our circumstances or our feelings.

There may be days when you feel His presence in a powerful and unmistakable way. There may also be days when you struggle to sense Him at all. Yet His faithfulness does not depend on how we feel.

Psalm 46:1 (KJV) reminds us:

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

He is not simply a God who was with us yesterday or who may be with us tomorrow. He is a very present help right now!

When the doctor's report is difficult to hear, He is with you. When the bills are piling up and the answers seem out of reach, He is with you. When you are grieving the loss of someone you love, He is with you. When you are walking through a season that nobody else understands, He is with you.

Even in the valley, His presence is there.

David understood this truth when he wrote in Psalm 23:4 (KJV):

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."

Notice that David said, "though I walk through." The valley was not his final destination. He knew that God would be with him as he walked through it.

Whatever valley you may be facing today, remember that you are not walking through it alone.

Jesus Promised to Be With Us Always

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His disciples a promise that continues to encourage believers today.

Matthew 28:20 (KJV) records His words:

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

What a precious promise from our Savior!

Jesus did not say He would be with us only when everything was going well. He did not say He would be with us only when our faith was strong or when we had everything figured out.

He said, "I am with you alway."

That means His presence is not limited by time, distance, difficulty, or circumstance. We can rest in the assurance that our Savior has not abandoned us.

When we wake up in the morning, He is with us. When we lay our heads down at night, He is with us. When we celebrate life's blessings, He is with us. And when tears fall and our hearts are broken, He is still with us.

What greater comfort could we have than knowing that the Lord Himself has promised never to leave us?

You Are Never Beyond His Reach

Perhaps today you are facing something that seems impossible. Maybe you have been praying for a breakthrough, waiting for an answer, or asking God to change a situation that has remained the same for far too long.

Do not lose heart.

God has not forgotten you. His silence does not mean His absence, and a difficult season does not mean He has withdrawn His love.

Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our hope is not found in having a life free from trouble. Our hope is found in having a Savior who walks with us through every season of life.

So, take courage today. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. Even when you cannot see what God is doing, you can trust who He is.

He is faithful. He is loving. He is merciful. And He is always with you.

A Final Word of Encouragement

Whatever you are facing today, I want to encourage you to hold tightly to the promises of God's Word.

When fear comes, remember Isaiah 41:10.

When trouble surrounds you, remember Psalm 46:1.

When you find yourself walking through a dark valley, remember Psalm 23:4.

And when you wonder whether the Lord is still with you, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:20:

"I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can know who holds tomorrow. You may not understand every circumstance, but you can trust the One who is walking beside you.

Never forget that you are loved, you are not forgotten, and you are never alone.

Through every trial, every tear, every unanswered question, and every uncertain tomorrow, God is with you.

And He will be with you always.

With you always. What a wonderful promise to live by!
