Does God Care?

Have you ever felt that everything that could go wrong has gone wrong? Everywhere you turn, something else bad has happened. You feel you can't get a break. When you pray to ask God for help, you feel like heaven is closed and your prayers are not reaching above the ceiling. It's in these vulnerable moments that satan will come in and sow seeds of doubt. He will even go so far as to tell you that God doesn't care, because if He cared, He would change your situation. Take heart friend. A journey through the Scripture will prove that God does in fact care for you.
In 1 Peter 5:7, we receive assurance of God's care as we read, "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you." God cares about everything you are going through. Even if you feel He is silent when you cry out to Him, He still cares. He is working things behind the scenes sometimes that you cannot see. Just because your answer to prayer seems delayed, it doesn't mean that God doesn't care. Just look at Daniel in the Bible. He prayed and the answer was sent on the same day. However, Daniel did not receive the answer for 21 days due to the answer being delayed by the prince of the kingdom of Persia (Daniel 10). In the end, Daniel received his answer to prayer.
Psalm 55:22 also encourages us, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." If God didn't care, He wouldn't tell us to come to Him with our burdens.
God will walk with you through every situation. Assurance of God's constant presence can be found in my favorite verse, Isaiah 41:10: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." God cares enough to hold us up when we are struggling.
Nothing that you are dealing with can separate you from God's love. We find this truth in Romans 8:32, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." God loves you.
God has not forgotten you. Isaiah 49:15 says, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
God cares for you so much that you are in His thoughts. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." God knows the end from the beginning. He is directing your paths, even in the tough seasons of life (Romans 8:28, Psalm 23).
Don't grow weary in your journey of faith. Just keep God's promises before you. Keep praying and believing for your breakthrough. God cares for you.
