Think about the hardest thing you have ever been through in your life. Your heart was broken and you didn't know how you could face another day. Maybe it was a financial crisis, a spiritual battle, or you lost someone you loved. Even if you couldn't feel it, God was right there with you through it all. He somehow put your broken pieces together to make something beautiful for His glory.
Psalm 51:17 says, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." God does not turn away from us or think less of us because we have a broken heart. That is the time that He comforts us.
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18. God is always near and He even saves us when we feel despair and anguish of spirit. He is an ever present help and friend.
Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Not only does Jesus sympathize with our suffering and brokenness, He heals the wounds that it leaves behind!
Isaiah 61:1 is what Jesus Himself read in the temple when they handed Him the scroll of Isaiah, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners;" Jesus was sent to heal broken hearts!
When you are broken, it's hard to see how the pieces are going to come together to make something beautiful. Just think about a 1,000 piece puzzle. You open the box and dump the pieces out on the table. It doesn't look beautiful, does it? Each tiny piece has a part in the beautiful design of the puzzle. After lots of effort, the pieces come together and the big picture comes into focus in all of its beauty.
God holds all of the pieces of your broken life in His capable hands. He is putting them together to make something beautiful--His child who trusts and loves Him with all of Her heart!
Do not grow weary. God is the Master of the puzzle of your life. Let Him put everything together the way it was meant to be.
Our Lord always has every piece to go in place at the right time. Hold on to your promise
