Have you ever received an invitation to an event? Perhaps it was a party or a wedding invitation that you received. You were invited in hopes that you would come and share in the joy of the occasion.
Jesus has also extended an invitation to you. He has invited you to receive the gift of eternal life by coming to Him. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The Bible states in Revelation 22:17, "And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let him that heareth say, "Come." And let him that is athirst come; and whosoever will, let him take the Water of Life freely." Jesus has offered this invitation to anyone who is willing to accept it. The choice is yours--will you accept the invite or reject it? This invitation will definitely change your life--in this world and in the world to come!
If you have already accepted Jesus Christ into your heart to be your Savior, that is just the beginning. Jesus wants a real relationship with us. He wants us to come to Him with worship, thanking Him for everything He has done for us (Psalm 100:4, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name!"). He wants us to come to Him in prayer, making our petitions known in faith (Philippians 4:6, "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God"). He wants us to come to Him in humility, knowing that He will lift us up (James 4:10, "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up").
Everything that we have need of is found in Jesus Christ. He Himself declared, "I am the way and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
You want to know the way to get to heaven? The answer is Jesus! You want to know what truth is? The answer is Jesus! You want real life? The answer again is Jesus! He is our burden bearer (Psalm 68:19), our healer (Isaiah 53:5), our provider (Philippians 4:19), our Savior (John 3:16), and the list goes on and on. With Him all things are possible! (Matthew 19:26)
Wherever you are at in your life right now, come to Jesus! He is awaiting you with open arms and a heart full of love!
