The Sun is Still Shining

The other day I was driving down the road, and I saw a beautiful sight. There were clouds in the sky, and rays of sunshine were streaming down through the clouds. I was reminded in that moment that the sun is still there shining, even if it is hidden behind the clouds. Sometimes dark storm clouds cover our lives, but the Son of God is still shining His light into our hearts.
No matter what you are facing, God is there with you. Just like the sun rays peeking through the dark clouds, He is still there. God promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"). He promised to be with you (Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”). Isaiah 43:2 assures, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."
You can rest assured that God is in control of your life and He will make the outcome of the trial work out for your good. Psalm 37:23 declares, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way." A favorite verse, Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."
God has also promised that He would make a way of escape for you. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
The Lord will also give you strength and peace to endure your test. Isaiah 40:31 reads, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Jesus Himself promised in John 14:27, " Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
God has given you everything you need. He will be with you through every season of your life. Just trust Him. Remember, the SON is always shining!
