Resting in God (Christian Motivation)

Are you rushin'? Rushin' to drop off the kids, pick up the kids, run errands, get to extracurricular activities, clean the house, cook, etc.? Are you weary from all the demands of work, "mom life," or daily life?

Yes, as moms and women of the house, there are many responsibilities facing us daily. We are so busy with kids, work, housework, homework, dinner, etc. I know you have to be on the go, but you also need REST!

Matthew 11:28 KJV Bible says, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

All we have to do is come to Jesus and rest in what He has done for us!

Our days are filled with anxiety, worry, fear, and working hard to fix all of the problems that we face in our lives. We should be doing the exact opposite, RESTING in God's promise that He is in control of everything and He keeps His promises.

Exodus 33:14 KJV Bible says, "And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."

We have assurance that Jesus Christ is with us everyday, guiding each step that we take.

He has given rest to our souls. His free gift of salvation, and our acceptance of it, guarantees us eternal life.

Even if your life is incredibly overscheduled, your soul is at rest. Even if life is not going the way that you planned, your soul is at rest. Even if you are walking through a dry spiritual season in your life, your soul is at rest.

Waiting on God to move in your circumstances can be very trying. I personally have been waiting on God to answer a specific need for years. Even when I question why God has not answered this request yet, I can rest on His promises that He is faithful and that He is the healer. He also promised that He would work all things out for my good (Romans 8:28).

Resting is not easy, especially since we can't see the future. We trust in the One who created the whole world, and then rested on the seventh day. He rested knowing that His work was good. We also rest in the fact that God's work in our own lives is good!

Whatever you are asking God to do in your life, rest that He is more than able to accomplish it! Rest that He is provider, healer, way maker, and everything that you need Him to be!

So, rest beloved child of God!
